Happy Monday, Prairie View families! This week is starting off a little wet and gloomy, so here is a fun indoor activity to keep your students' minds and bodies active! See how many repetitions they can complete before they lose the pose! You can also be creative and have your student can make up their own poses! Send a picture of your student working on their speech/language in their yoga pose win prizes! Please send pictures to [email protected]

DRAW WITH CHALK Now that the spring weather is finally making an appearance (yay for a high of 70 today!), get outside and draw with chalk on your sidewalk or driveway. Draw pictures that include your student's speech sound, talk about what you're drawing to target your student's language goals, or practice your targets before taking a turn on the obstacle course, hopscotch, or life size board game you drew! It's the perfect mix of fresh air, creativity, and exercise! Just a reminder if you haven't joined our facebook group, please click here:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/2835542659865241 Fun things will be posted each week and I would love to see how everyone is doing! If you 'catch' your student practicing their speech work and post it on the group or email me, they could win a prize! GO FOR A WALK!
Take a walk outside and look for items to talk about! You could keep a lookout for items that include your speech sound, make up silly stories about objects you find using your speech and/or language targets, or take 5 steps for every repetition. Be creative and make it fun! Send a picture of your child working on their speech/language on your walk to win prizes! Please send pictures to [email protected] |
